Manipal : 22nd Annual conference of Society of Nuclear Medicine India Southern Chapter 2016, SNMI(S)2016 to be held on 13th & 14th August 2016 at Kasturba Medical College and Hospital, Manipal, Karnataka. The aim of one and half day conference of Society of Nuclear Medicine will be to serve as a platform for delegates to enrich their knowledge with the recent advancements in diagnostic & therapeutic nuclear medicine. The meeting will provide an opportunity to the Clinicians, Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Scientists and the technologists to exchange valuable ideas and foster new collaborations. It also includes oral presentations, poster presentations, invited lectures, panel discussion and quiz competition. 22nd Annual conference of Society of Nuclear Medicine India Southern Chapter 2016, SNMI(S)2016 is organised by the dept of Nuclear Medicine Kasturba Hospital Manipal under the leadership of Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Prof. & Head, Nuclear Medicine, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal. The Conference would be inaugurated by Dr H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor Manipal University, Manipal.

The Conference would witness scientific sessions by eminent and exert speakers like outstanding scientist Dr. N. Ramamoorthy, ( Former Scientist, DAE-BARC; Former Director of Division of Physical and Chemical Sciences , Dept of Nuclear Applications, IAEA, Vienna. He is also the currently the Chairman of Safety Review Committee for Applications of Radiation (SARCAR), Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, BARC, Mumbai). Dr. Vikram Lele, Chief Consultant, Nuclear Medicine, Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai and Dr. MRA Pillai, Former Senior Scientist, BARC, Mumbai would making scientific presentations.

The Distinguished guests for the Conference include Dr. Anshu R Sharma, President, Society of Nuclear Medicine India who is presently working as  Chief Consultant, Nuclear Medicine, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai and Dr. S D Satish Nath, President, Society of Nuclear Medicine India Southern Chapter and  presently working as the Chief Consultant, Nuclear Medicine, MIOT Hospital, Chennai.
