Dubai/Kemmannu, May 15, 2016: Kemmanite Rev. Dr. Wilson Andrade OFM Cap., based from North Province, Lucknow has taken charge as Asst. Parish Priest at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Jebel Ali, which is located at the emirate of Dubai.
Fr. Wilson who arrived from Patna Cathedral yesterday has taken charge this evening from Rev. Fr. Reinhold Sahner, Parish Priest of Jebel Ali Church.
Fr. Wilson is the son of Late Kashmir and Dulcin Andrade of Kambla Thota, Kemmannu has also served as Principal at Nirmala English Medium School, Brahmavar in Udupi District before serving at Patna Cathedral.
About Jebel Ali Church:
The St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church was inaugurated in November 2001 by Bishop Bernard Gremoli as part of the Apostolic Vicariate of Southern Arabia (formerly Vicariate of Arabia). Presently this parish is pastored by Bishop Paul Hinder. This parish comprises of many nationalities and diverse communities from around the world united under one roof. Located just off of Sheikh Zayed road behind Al Muntazah Complex in the emirate of Dubai, the church is easily accessible from The Gardens Boulevard, Ibn Battuta Metro Station by bus or taxi, and from the Jebel Ali Village Interchange.
