Mangaluru, Jan 16: The first Tulu movie of 2016 ’Jai Tulunad’ produced by NRI-based entrepreneur Frank Fernandes was released in theatres across the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Friday January 15.

Veteran Tulu drama director Vijay Kumar Shetty inaugurated the movie at city’s Suchitra theatre.

In his inaugural address, he said, "Frank Fernandes has produced this movie to preserve the rich culture of Tulunadu. The film has quality artistes and has come out well. I wish ’Jai Tulunad’ becomes the first successful movie of this year."

Producer Frank Fernandes said, "I have produced this movie with the motive of doing something good for my homeland. I wish that this movie spreads love among one another."

Assistant producer of the movie Shivanna thanked the gathering and everyone involved in the making of the movie.

Director of the movie Praveen Thokkottu, lead actors Avinash Shetty, Sonal Monteiro, Shreya Anchan and others were present.

The film has been released in 11 theatres across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

Jai Tulunadu’ Produced by Frank Fernandes set to release on Jan 15, 2016

Mangalore/Udupi, Dec 22, 2015: ‘Jai Tulunadu’ produced by Dubai-based entrepreneur Frank Fernandes and directed by Praveen has completed the shooting. The eagerly awaited Movie is all set to release under the banner of Ferns Movie International on the 15th of January, 2016 in Mangalore, Udupi and Moodbidri.

The shooting for the movie was held in various places in the costal districts including Tumkur, Nandihalli, Madikeri, Sullia and Mangaluru.
Co-producers of the film are S G Shivanna Nandihalli and Ali Nisar Ahmed.

The story has been written by Devi Puttur and the dialogues by S S David and Praveen. Music has been scored by James Architect. Several singers including Dr S P Balasubrahmanyam have rendered their voices for the songs of the film.

Avinash Shetty and up-and-coming star Sonal Monteiro are the lead actors of the film while Deekshitha Acharya of ’Rang’ fame plays an important character.

Navin D Padil, Aravind Bolar, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Bhavya, Swatik Shankar, Nayana Grahan, Alisha Andrade and Manmohan Rai are performing in the film.

Producer Frank Fernandes, Sarojini Shetty, Sai Prashanth D S, Shivanna Nandihalli, Jagadish Shetty , Ravi Gokak, and Byndoor Meese Gopala are also starring in the film.

The Muhuratham of the movie ‘Jai Tulunadu’ was held at Nandihalli of Tumakaru district on February 6, 2015.
