Experimental Tidal Power Project launched at Kadike Beach, Kemmannu.

Udupi, March 1, 2015: To tame the tides and bring out the energy in them, Susi Global Research Centre launched their experimental project at Kadike beach near Kemmannu.  The Dream child of Mr. Vijaykumar Hedge of Udupi was inaugurated by his holiness Sri sri Vishveshthirtha Seer of Pejavar Mutt Udupi.

Talking to Media person earlier Mr. Hegde said that it is a dream come true to him due to his efforts of last 30 years. The environmental friendly project is cost effective, demands less space and causes no hindrance to the fishing of the area where it is installed.

Mr. Hegde also said that The Tidal Power Plant is the result of years of research taken up by M/s. Susi Global Research Centre, Udupi for which International Patent rights have been received in the year 2006 and has received enthusiastic enquiries from USA and Mauritius for his product.  This is currently the only design available in the world using Float type mechanism, generating power on a continuous basis irrespective of height of the waves lifting the floats mounted in the sea.

Once the Power Purchase Agreement signed with the government he will start mass scale production of electricity he claimed.
