Print Udupi: Senior journalist Shashidhar Hemmanna (57) due to heart attack passed away on the 9th November night.
A heart attack was confirmed when he was at home in Udupi on Thursday morning when he was shown to a city hospital. Hemmanna was severely ill on the road when he was taken to Manipal Hospital for further treatment. He who was undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit at Manipal Hospital, breathed his last at night without being effective.
Shashidhar, who started his career through Kundaprabha magazine in 1991 - started his own weekly magazine named "Kshitija" and was the editor of the chief. Later this TV served as a district reporter in Kannada, DD news. Wrote agriculture related articles in many newspapers including Prajavani, and played a pad-faced role in attracting the attention of the government.
Recently he established a Connect Media firm, engaged in launching several projects statewide. He was an environment lover and agriculture lover, played an important role in bringing Kandlavana project in coastal.
The deceased has left father, wife, son, four brothers and sister and great relatives and friends.
The elite people of the state along with the Udupi district working journalists association have beaten the death of senior journalists.
