Udupi : The renovated United Basil Mission(U.B.M.) Christa Karunya church building situated Indira Nagar, Chitpady near here will be inaugurated and dedicated on Thursday, October 13, 2022.

Addressing a press meet held at Udupi Press Club here on Saturday, October 8, Rev Kumar Salins, Pastor said that U.B.M. Christa Karunya church established in 1983 at Chitpady, near Indira Nagar of 76 Badagubettu village by local youth members prayer society under the leadership of late Gerpon Salins. Presently, the administered by United Basel Mission District Church Board and Trust Association, Udupi, D.K. and Coorg district which has been giving spiritual need to the society.

The removed church has built by donors from local and abroad as well as from minority department of the government.

He said that on Thursday at 8am procession will be held from Diana Theater to Church. At 8.30am Bell tower prayer will be held followed by inauguration. A dedication and prayer service will be after 9.15am by Rev Godfrey B Salins, U.B.M. Christha Mahima Church Vasai, Mumbai. After the lunch break, special Choir and programme by U.B.M. Churches.

The stage programme will be presided over by Rev Kumar Salins, Pastor, U.B.M. Christha Karunya Church, Chitpady and to be inaugurated by Jayaprakash Simon, Chairman U.B.M. DCB & Trust Association Udupi, D.K., and Coorg. Guests of Honour are K Raghupathy Bhat local MLA, Ivan D’Souza, former MLC, Government of Karnataka, Ln. B. Jayakar Shetty, Indrali, President of District Cooperatives Union, Udupi, R.S. Maben, Founder President of Silas International School, Nittoor, Udupi, Haji Abdul Jaleel, Managing Trustee of Haleema Sabju Auditorium Trust, Udayavara, K. Annayya Sherigar President, Udupi District Cooperative Congress, W D Salins, Founder President of Christha Yuvajana Prarthana Samaja, Raju, Council Member, Kasturba Nagar Ward, Udupi CMC., Chandrashekar U, Council member of Indiranagar ward, Udupi CMC and Sachin Kumar District Officer of Minority Department, Manipal will present.
