Udupi : The BJP councilor from Vadabhandeshwara ward of Udupi City Municipality council allegedly assaulted the assistant health officer on duty here on Tuesday, July 16.
Yogish V Salian, a BJP councilor had a heated argument on phone with Prasanna Kumar who working as an assistant health officer at the Udupi City Municipality on July 15, on the issue of dumping stones on the roadside.
Yogish who arrived to the City Municipal office on Tuesday, July 16th in the morning and had once again heated argument with Prasanna Kumar. Then, Yogish assaulted the officer on duty.
Prasanna Kumar has been admitted to the Government Hospital at Ajjarkad in Udupi.
A case has been registered in the Udupi Town Police Station. Later, the employees of the Udupi Municipal Council protested against the councilor Yogish in front of the municipal office.
