Udupi : Congress and JDS combined candidate for the Lok Sabha election, Pramod Madhwaraj allegedly said that there is serious doubt on Navy’s involvement in missing of Suvarna Tribhuja fishing boat issue.

Addressing to media persons during the press meet at Congress Bhavan here on Sunday, March 24, Pramod Madhwaraj said that Navy was involved in the search operation. The Navy’s report is seems to be doubt that the Navy ship involved in hit and run case. Navy has just doing the drama on tracing the missing boat and trying to shut this case either. One can make suspicion whether the so developed technology is outdated that it cannot trace a missing boat.

He said Union government, Nirmala Sitharaman and Shoha Karandlaje cheating the fishermen on missing boat. The Union government as well as Nirmala Sitharaman, defence minister and Shobha Karandlaje MP has failed in tracing the missing boat along with seven fishermen. There is no clue since three months as to what happened fishermen and the missing boat. Hence, we have strong suspicion that they are involved in disappearance of the boat and the fishermen.

Pramod Madhwaraj said that after I have been chosen as the alliance candidate of Congress and JD(S), both the party leaders and workers have taken oath to defeat BJP. We had conducted alliance meeting at Sringere, Talikere and other constituencies of Chickmagalur district. The support of alliance was really tremendous and supportive. Congress and JD(S) will work as milk and honey and not water and oil, he said.

“I get scope to see the workers who are united. We don’t know since five years who is our MP. Hence, the people of BJP started the slogan ‘Go back Shobha’ campaign on twitter and other media. Now, we must complete this campaign by defeating BJP in Udupi-Chickmagaluru Lok Sabha Constituency”.

“Even though in this election, the symbol will be JD(S) party, in a short span of time, Congress party promoted me three times in different capacities. I am still in Congress party, but due to alliance with JD(S), my symbol will be JD(S) party”.

Pramod said that I brought several schemes of Union government and State government with honestly. I could not win in the legislative assembly election due to false propaganda against me made by BJP. People of the state seen my work during my tenure as MLA and minister. During my term, I have allowed to extract six tones of sand out of the allotted nine tones for the district. There was 28 sand blocks were identified and sand extracted and permit was given to 165 sand extraction people of the district. Some people crying against me that I was responsible to sand crisis. But, people must understand that due to CRZ rules which made by Union government. The Union government should amed the rules. The sitting MP Shobha Karandlaje has failed to do so. If I will win the election, I surely forcve to Union government to amend the CRZ rules, he said.

Shobha Karandlaje has completely against the fishermen; she failed to solve the issue of missing fishermen and boat. She failed to giving justice to the fishermen. The Union government has not released a single rupee as subsidy for diesel and kerosene in last five years. I increased the compensation to fishermen from Rs.2 lakhs to Rs. 6 lacks on mishap and had instructed to give a compensation of Rs. 6 lakh to the fishermen for the mishap that was occurred. During my term I was competed modern fishmarket in Udupi with Rs. 32 lakhs. But, Center government not provided any thing. Shobha was completely against of fishermen in the district, he said.

Shobha relies on Narendra Modi, but not on achievements she made during her tenure as MP. This election should be between Pramod Versus Shobha rather Modi versus Pramod. Modi cannot be my opponent, he said.

Pramod Madhwaraj said that he will going to file the nomination papers on March 25 along with Dr. Jayamala Minister of the state along with other alliance leaders with simple way.

To a query, on accusation of T.J. George against him during speaking with media persons, Pramod said that my family started factory in 1960. Since then we are the customer of national owned Syndicate Bank at Malpe. Surely, getting loan is not illegal to anyone. But, Bank will ask for collateral security. T. J. Abraham, comes only during the election time and speaks with media against me. I think, he may don’t know who I am. It is BJP leaders who bring him to talk against me. I am put a defamation case on him. The court of law fined him Rs. 25 lac for defaming someone else. In fact, he is a blackmailer. He needs the money and going to blackmail me. Perhaps, BJP leaders gave him money to make allegations against me. T. J. Abraham allegations regarding fraud in Bank is completely false. The matter has been already in the court of law. It is an offence while speaking with media persons, he said.

To a query on Amrith Shoney’s discontent on Congress, Pramod said that he met him in his house. There are several ticket aspirants in any party. We will resolve the issue amicably, he said.
