Print Puttur: Suraksha Consumer Forum of St Philomena College Puttur organized an awareness programme on ‘Misleading Advertisements and Labelling’ on January 30, 2016 in Spandana Seminar Hall.
Prof. Melita Anusha Montheiro, Lecturer, Department of Commerce of the College was the resource person. In her presentation she said, ‘The misleading advertising and labelling provisions enforced by the Competition Bureau prohibit making any deceptive representations for the purpose of promotion of a product or a business interest, and encourage the provision of sufficient information to allow consumers to make informed choices.’
Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal of the College presided over the function. Ms. Swathi and team performed the prayer. Prof. Dinakara Rao, Convenor of Suraksha Consumer Forum welcomed the gathering. The coordinators of the programme Ms. Yakshitha proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Kunjamma compered the programme.
