Udupi : The outstations labour workers did’t get sanitation facilities when their stay at rented temporarily built tents or houses, so that used drainage water and garbage laying found at side of roads and other places, said Chandrakanth Naik Councilor of Gopalpura Ward during the monthly meeting of Udupi Municipal Council at Udupi on Saturday, 30^th January, 2016.

Chandrakanth said that due to large number of outstations and other district labors laying in the street at Santhekatte, so that there is the problem of cleanliness. Municipal authorities should take action on these people and also those who providing shelter without proper toilets and other necessary needs of labor, he said.

He said at the time of widening National Highway without any information water pipes were broken and found water shortage of Gopalpura ward, near Santhekatte area. But sufficient water provided to the area during the time, said Chandrakanth Naik during the meeting while discussing the water shortage in Municipal areas. Y. Yuvaraj President of the Council said that CMC thinking about the release of drinking water once in two days. Large number of people are using water for garden and other illegal purposes. Even though there  is ample water in reserve, for the precaution purpose water to be released once in two days.

Janardhan Bhandarkar, Prashanth Amin complained that without giving any information nor any respect to Municipal councilors who had done marvelous support to construct the Ranga Bayalu at Beedinagudde was inaugurated. Lot of councilors and others supported to do so, but in this case Deputy Commissioner ignoring the Municipal Council members. Dinakar Herga and Dr. M.R. Pai in the opposition also supported the point. But Municipal Councilor Manjunathaih said that once again with the proper channel the Ranga Bayalu will be inaugurated.

All the time most of the councilors protested the way the official working while in their duties. Most of the officials including forest officials not co operating and helping the councilors when their respective wards any problems comes.

Yuvaraj President and Amritha Acharya Vice President of Municipal Council and Manjunathaia Commissioner of the Municipality were present.
