Mangalore: Mangalore’s most-heard radio station 92.7 BIG FM set a new bench mark with a non-stop 106 hour Idea presents BIG RJ Marathon. RJ Rakshitha flagged off the marathon this Republic day at 7am from the Mangalore BIG FM studio. The marathon ended on January 30th at 5am, completing a record 106 hours.

As a part of the nationwide campaign #IndiaSharesIndiaCares, the Marathon started out as a 92-hour program. However, it was extended up to 106 hours due to positive audience response.

During the marathon, various guests spoke about the power of Internet and internet sharing. Guests and listeners were invited to take the pledge of internet sharing by giving a missed call to 1800 30 101 927. For each missed call received, Idea would be donating 1MB data to NGOs focusing on child education.

 Some marked personalities who took the pledge include Health Minister Mr. U.T. Khadar, MLA Mr. Moiuddin Bava, MLA Mr. J.R. Lobo, MLC Mr. Ganesh Karnik, Mangalore International Airport Director Mr. Radhakrishna, Film actor Devdas Kapikad, Traffic Department ACP Mr. Udayanayak, Panaboor Beach Development Authority President Mr. Yathish Baikampady and Film Producer Rajessh Bhat. A large number of journalists, bloggers, techies, businessmen and website owners also took the pledge. At the end of the Marathon around 5,50,000 MB data was collected from across India - including via micro sites and tweets.

 RJ Rakshitha, RJ Errol, RJ Roopesh, Promo Producer Joel Rebello, Sales Account Manager Alston and Kiran were also present at the Marathon. 92.7 BIG FM extends deep gratitude to listeners, clients and the media for the whole hearted support for the BIG RJ Marathon.

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಖ್ಯಾತ  ಎಫ್ ಎಮ್ 92.7 ನ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ರಕ್ಷಿತಾರವರು ಐಡಿಯಾ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಬಿಗ್ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನ 92 ಗಂಟೆಗಳನ್ನು 106 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ವರೆಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರು
ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಶೇರ್ಸ್  ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕೇರ್ಸ್ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯಕನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ  ಬಿಗ್ ಎಫ್ ಎಮ್ ನ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ಗಳು 92 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಟರ್‌ನೆಟ್ ಶೇರಿಂಗ್ ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಹುಜನರ ಪ್ರಶಂಸೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾದರು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಉತ್ತೇಜಿತಗೊಂಡ ಆರ್ ಜೆಗಳು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇದರಂತೆ ಆರ್ ಜೆ ರಕ್ಷಿತಾರವರು 106 ಗಂಟೆಗಳ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನನ್ನು ಜನವರಿ 30 ರಂದು ಸಂಜೆ 5 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಪೂರೈಸಿದರು ಜನವರಿ 26 ರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ 7 ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಈ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳು ಹಾಗು ಕೇಳುಗರು 180030101927 ಗೆ ಮಿಸ್ ಕಾಲ್ ನೀಡಿ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಶೇರ್ಸ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಕೇರ್ಸ್ ಗೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಮಿಸ್ ಕಾಲ್ ಗೆ ಐಡಿಯಾದವರು ತಲಾ 1 Mb ಇಂಟರ್‌ನೆಟ್ ಡೇಟಾವನ್ನು ಬಡಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡುವ ಎಂಜಿವೋಗಳಿಗೆ ದೇಣಿಗೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಲಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನವರಿ 30 ಸಂಜೆ 5 ರ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ದೇಶಾದ್ಯಂತ 5,50,000 mb ಡೇಟಾ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗಿದೆ
ಕರ್ನಾಟದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯು ಟಿ ಖಾದರ್ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಜೆ ಆರ್ ಲೋಬೊ, ಶ್ರೀ ಮೊಹಿದಿನ್ ಬಾವ, ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಕಾರಣಿಕ್, ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಎಸಿಪಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಉದಯ ನಾಯಕ್ , ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟೀಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಧಾಕೃಷ್ಣ ಚಲನ ಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ಮಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ  ರಾಜೇಶ್ ಭಟ್ ,ಪಣಂಬೂರು ಬೀಚ್ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯತೀಶ್ ಬೈಕಂಪಾಡಿ , ಚಿತ್ರನಟ ದೇವದಾಸ್ ಕಾಪಿಕಾಡ್ , ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರು,  ಉದ್ಯಮಿಗಳು,  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಗಳು ಈ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. 92.7 ಬಿಗ್ ಎಫ್ ಎಮ್ ಬಿಗ್ ಮ್ಯಾರಥಾನ್ ಗೆ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿದ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರಿಗೂ,  ಕೇಳುಗರಿಗು ಹಾಗು ಎಲ್ಲಾರಿಗೂ ಧನ್ಯವಾದ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ .ಆರ್ ಜೆ ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ, ಆರ್ ಜೆ ಎರಾಲ್ , ಆರ್ ಜೆ ರೂಪೇಶ್, ಜಾಯಲ್ ರೆಬೆಲ್ಲೊ , ಆಲ್ಸ್ಟಾನ್, ಕಿರಣ್ ಮತ್ತಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
