Udupi : Neralu Neravu Abhiyaan team of Udupi once again is all set to launch a new abhiyaan under the title “Namma Mane Namma Mara and Namma Shaale Namma mara’ shortly, said Avinash Kamath, one of the leader organizer.

Speaking with media persons at Udupi Press Club on Tuesday, 1^st December, 2015, he said that if anyone have empty space around home and within the premises, then make up mind to give call on 9986220255. So that, at the callers’ convenience, the team will visit the place and wish to plant a tree. Together the team will have a photograph of which one copy is for owner of premises and other for the team. The team will post a sticker carrying a message to one door or any other place that one suggest. Then the team will then note down address, contact number for the records. He said the saplings of Ashwattha, Aala, renja, suragi, ashoka, birinda, haalemara, honge, kahibevu, holedaasavaala, chikko, maavy, halasu, geru, cheery, butterfruit etc., are some of the sapling that they plant.

He said their request to the family members is to water the plant for atleast two years after which the plant will take care of them.

He said the purpose of the abhiyaan will be love towards environment, message to protect and to plant trees, to evoke emotional bonding with the plant and family members, plants respire and make live like us, plants release oxygen and provide shelter to birds and animals, a pleasing feeling of something being given in return to the environment and chit chat with family members after planting.

Namma Shaale Namma mara, the program also to be held with plant a sapling in large number of schools’ premises.

The inauguration of abhiyan to be held at Benaka belongs to businessman Chandramohan, at Srinivasnagar, Chitpady.
