Udupi : Kallianpur A ward dedicated to St. Anthony ward of Milagres Cathedral celebrated ward annual feast on 29^th November, 2015. The celebrations began with thanksgiving mass for patron Saint Anthony at Milagres Cathedral at 8 am mass which concelebrated Eucharistic celebration by Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Rector of Milagres Cathedral and Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado Vocational Director of Pilar Fathers Mini Seminary, Kallianpur.

During the mass, Kallianpur A ward faithful witnessed their solidarity in large numbers with offerings to the Lord. Perfect liturgy with excellent choir given support to the Eucharistic celebrations with the leadership of newly elected head of the Kallianpur A ward, Rosy Baretto.

In the evening get together of ward people organized at Milagrees Tri-centenary Hall, Kallianpur. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Rev Fr. Rolwin Aranha Asst. parish priest of Milagres Cathedral, Rev Fr. Nelson Furtado, Smt. Rosy Baretto, Walter Cyril Pinto Vice President of parish pastoral council, Superiors of two convents, Xavier Fernandes Convener of SCC,Hector Lewis past gurkar of the ward,  Juliet D’Silva Secretary of the ward and others were present on the dais.

The program started with the prayers. Smt. Rosy Baretto welcomed the gatherings. Juliet D’Silva presented report for the year. Zita D’Souza placed the report of the Uzwal Co-operative Society.

 Former gurkar of the ward Hector Lewis and Daphney D’Souza who scored highest marks in the B.com examinations were felicitated with shawl, garland, fresh fruits by the Fr. Stany B. Lobo. Meanwhile,  birthday gentlemen’s honoured during the occasion.

Various games and entertainments were held during the celebration by Greg D’Silva and Melita D’Souza. Dances, songs and comics displayed on the occasion. Stanley Lewis and Hector Lewis great artists and actors in dramas displayed their talents on the occasion with their singing and jokes.

In his message Fr. Stany Lobo highlighted the leadership and unity among the ward people in different occasion and said Kallianpur A ward would be role model for other wards of the church. Their contribution to the church and the society will be appreciated.

Fr. Rolwin Aranha, Walter Cyril Pinto also gave their messages to the gatherings on the occasion of the ward fest.

Janet Lewis proposed vote of thanks while Sheryl D’Souza compered the programme. Fr. Nelson Furtado graced prayers on dinner. Energetic dinner prepared at home by ward people served to all the participants.
