Udupi : The Souza’s retail outlet for cashews and dry fruits “S-NUTS” situated at Church Building, K. M. Marg was inaugurated by Oscar Fernandes Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister here on Sunday, 25^th October, 2015 by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp.

Very Rev Fr. Fred Mascarenhas Dean of Udupi and Parish Priest of Mother of Sorrows church, Udupi blessed the outlet and conducted the prayers. Yuvaraj, President of Udupi Muncipal Council lauched the S-NUTS products to the market. K. Narendranath Kamath, DGM, Syndicate Bank, RO, Mangaluru was the guest of honour and he handed over the inaugural purchase to prominent businessman Airody Ghanashyam Pai of M/s. Radhakrishna Pai and sons, Udupi.

Dr. Christopher D’Souza, Managing Partner of S-NUTS narrated about the opening of the outlet. Proprietor of Souza Cashews Walter and Leela D’Souza and family members were present during the inauguration of the outlet. Dr. Christopher D’Souza proposed vote of thanks.

The S-NUTS retail outlet will be a One – Stop shop for nutritious nutty delights like plain cashewnuts, almonds, dates, walnuts, pistachios, figs, apricots, raisins, salted and flavoured cashews, gift boxes and gifts items. This will be the first of its kind shop in Udupi and will be welcomed by all the consumers in the district, who will access to the finest nut food in the future.

The house of Souza,s is one of the oldest and most reputed in the field of raw cashew nuts import processing and exports for the last four decades and has factories in Puttur, Mangaluru and Udupi. Their export destinations are spread over 40 countries in the world including USA, Canada, Europe, Japan Korea, Middle East and African continent.
