Udupi : The BJP State President Pralhad Joshi alleged that Congress Party in the state had failed on all aspects in terms of administration. Congress Party in the state was undemocratic, in active and despotic. The Ministers have no control over the officials working under them. It is chaotic and the situation will have its worst ever impact on the governance.

He speaking after district level Raitha Chaitanya Yatre in Udupi , said that the government has proved disastrous for farmers who are committing suicide en masse. Pointing out the nearly 440 farmers had ended their life in past three months, the BJP state President criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and questioned his inattentiveness over tragic scenario that prevails in the state. He argued that under Narendra Modi’s rule in the centre the country proceeding positively with 8% growth in GDP which two years back under UPA’s rule was just 4%.

He said the rift between the chief minister and energy minister has ended up in power crisis. Joshi said that the energy minister was ineffective and incapable of handling the power crisis. Although the coal linkages were offered by the BJP government in Maharastra, the state government was lackadaisical to utilize it. It has failed to book the line or corridor connections. The power generated through coal had also reduced by 50%. It is the height of irresponsibility. Congress has only one man to blame for all their wrongdoing that is Narendra Modi, who contrast had turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the congress led state government.

 

He said that the central government has released Rs. 60,000 crore under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Scheme to ensure 24 hours power supply by 2019. The state is also being included under programmes concerning the farmers like soil heath card. He added that Modi government is responsible for nearly Rs. 20 lakh crore Foreign Direct Investment generated during this year. Earlier Raghupathy Bhat former MLA critizes local MLA and District Minister that during the election manifesto congress promised that drinking water to be provided from Varahi project and will provide 24 hours electricity supply to Udupi district. He argued that Udupi’s developmental work including Udupi Municipal failed in all and developmental work has been standstill. The farmers not getting kumki land and it has failed to do so.

Lalaji Mendon former MLA said that the department of Power has been failed to give the sufficient power to the people.

The convener of the Yatre, Udayakumar Shetty former BJP Udupi district President welcomed the gatherings. Thingle Vikramarjuna Hegde President of Udupi District BJP President gave keynote address.

Shobha Karandleje heavily targeted Congress that state is proceeding towards Katthale Bhagya. In order to awakening the state government for the failures, the BJP planned to organize Raitha Chaitanya Yathre under the leadership of Yudiyarappa and Pralhad Joshi. The state government has given compensation to only 86 deceased farmers’ families. All the projects which BJP introduced now stopped. No compensation for the farmers nor getting drinking water freely. During BJP rule more than 20 hours electricity given but now state under without electricity for more than 20 hours. There will be lack of distribution system failures and not establishing proper corridors.

Sunil Kumar Karkala MLA said that government failed to provide governance for the people. It is not for the farmers nor for the people at large. To give awareness for the people, these yathra’s at the end needed. There is no democracy specially for women and child. Leaders are misusing their powers.

Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC  and farmers leader Araga Jnanendra also spoke during the occasion.

Former Energy Minister Eshwarappa said that BJP would hole massive protest against the Congress government if it stops power supply to the stages set up for the forthcoming Ganeshotsave celebrations in the state. He alleged that farmers and women were not safe in the state. The despotic rule of the congress government is increasing day by day. The unscientific drinking water projects have made many people consume the deadly fluoride contaminated water across the state. The fake assurances and development schemes have become the signpost of the Congress governance of the state.

 

On the dais BJP leaders Thejaswini Gowda, Laxminarayana, Savitha Sadananda Kotian, Sukumar Shetty, Raghavendra Kini, Somanna, Kuthyar Naveen Shetty, Symala Kunder, Kumaraswamy, Shivprasad and other leaders present. Around 10,000 people were present during the occasion.
