Print Udupi : Rev Fr. Lawrence D’Souza has been appointed by the Bishop of Udupi Diocese as the Director of Catholic Education Society of Udupi (CESU). He was formerly the Director of St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
He was born at Pernal of the Shirva Deanery on 28th November, 1948. He was ordained as Priest of Manguluru Diocese on 5th May, 1977 at Milagres Church Mangaluru. He has competed his BSc., degree from St. Aloysious College Mangaluru and post graduation in Philosophy from Karnataka University Dharwad and PG diploma in Business Management from St. Aloysious College. He completed his LLB degree from SDM Law College, Mangaluru and completed his MA in Religious Studies and PhD in Administration and Supervision from Fordham University, New York, US.
Rev. Fr. Lawrence D’Souza served as Secretary of Catholic Board of Education for seven years in D.K. and also as Administrator of Father Muller Medical College Hospital and College of Nursing for eight yeats. He also served as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church, New York, US and Sacred Heart Church New York.
He also served as Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Mangaluru for two years. He is also a member of governing Board of DeSales University, Pennsylvania, USA.
