Udupi : The control of natural environment problems around Udupi Power Corporation Ltd. formerly known as Nagarjuna not satisfactory. The coal based power station not maintaining natural environmental safe procedures. So central as well as state governments should take precaution measures to save the people of the area said Founder of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti Thonse Jayakrishna A. shetty.

He was talking with media persons at Udupi said that UPCL company already sold to Adani Group for Rs. 6,500 crores. The unit natural environmental control machine brought from Ducon of  Cananda which was second hand machine. So, in this machine it is impossible to control the expected good natural environment in the area.

He said that we need modern machine to control the natural environmental conditions. In order to development of the district  the Parisara Premi Samiti  supported  the Nagarjuna Power Station in the district. But since 40 years of this existence of the company the surrounding areas deteriorated very badly. Our politicians were not interested to maintain safe environment of the people of this area but only asking votes during the elections by the various parties including congress, B.J.P. Janatha Dal and others.

We already submitted memo to the Adani Group which strongly supported by Modi Government. He requested local MLA as well as district in charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake to inference and put pressure on adani Group of company on the matter of safe natural environmental conditions of the area.

Talking with the media persons on Niddodi Power Project, he said that the said project should drop in favour of people. It’s enough that due to UPCL the large number of people’s sufferings. It is better that instead of Power Projects government should concentrate on establish of engineering, automobile and other important companies in the area.

Once again he urged Vinayakumar Sorake to meet Gautam Adani Chairman of Adani Group to request and resolve Power stations environmental violations and also should meet delegation to Modi and comprising of all the senior party leaders and power minister. Mr. Vishwanath Mada. The samiti already held meeting with Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani and explained him the Nagarjuna Enviromental problems and local rehabilitations issues.

He also urged Chief Minister of Karnataka that Adani Group is financially and Policitically very very powerful. Government should have fool proof agreement and also should be monitored by the local MLA and Minister Shri. Vinay Kumar Sorake.
