Bishop Gerald Isaac Lobo celebrated Easter with inmates of District Jail

Print Udupi : Prison Ministry of India (PMI) of Udupi diocese organized the Easter celebrations at the District Jail at Anjaru Hiriyadka near here on Saturday, 11th April, 2015.
Most Rev Dr. Gerald Issac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi diocese presided over the celebrations. The program started with invocation. Prison Ministry India’s Fr. Francis Cornelio, Gratian Buthello, Mark D’Souza, Walter, Asst. PSI Shridhar Rao and others among present during the occasion.
Gratian Buthello member of PMI welcomed the gatherings. In his presidential address the Bishop said that most of are perhaps inside the four walls of this jail for crimes committed by you. But do not develop a feeling that you are away from the mainstream of society. No human being is a born criminal. Meanwhile sometimes circumstances lead a person to commit mistakes and he appealed them not to develop hatred. Instead try to be a role model once you come out from the jail.
Jail Superintendent Sowmya lauded the efforts of the Prison Ministry of India for offering their services and appealed the under trials to make use of the facilities offered by PMI members. During the occasion, students of Mount Rosary English Medium School and St. Xavier’s Hr. Pry. School, Kolalgiri performed various cultural programmes with the message on reformation.
