Mumbai:Rons Bantwal multi-talented journalist has been selected for ‘Karnataka State Media’ award
Mumbai, April 09: Rons Bantwal, multi-talented journalist ,Founder and honorary chief secretary of Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha, Maharashtra and world famous web Media like Daijiworld and Kemmannu.com Mumbai bureau chief Rons Bantwal has been honored with Karnataka State Media’ award contribution to journalism. The annual awards for 2014 were announced by the academy on Wednesday, and will be presented on April 16 by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the Vidhana Soudha.



Rons Bantwal who is currently working as a Mumbai regional reporter of magazines of Vijaya Karnataka owned by Times of India group. He is the editor of Mumbai edition of Delhivarthe Kannada Daily and is the only one person who represents India as an authorized reporter of many magazines like Udayavani, Karnataka Malla Kannada Daily and many Kannada-Konkani, English weekly magazines, fortnight magazines. He has been recognized through his various qualities like dedication and loyalty and has been providing continuous services in magazines like Udayavani, Taranga, Roopatara since 6 ½ years and is a world famous journalist who has an intimate and friendly personality.
He is a young journalist who has been continuously providing services successfully in the field of journalism since 25 years and has been working for the betterment of the society without expecting any financial benefit in return.
He is the first Kannadiga journalist who published news from the incident spot including photographs using electronic camera, laptop, etc. for the first time. He is a great journalist who publishes news by visiting the spots personally for atleast ten incidents and gathers the information and is also a kind-hearted man. His efforts in raising voice in favour of the society by making investigational news by roaming throughout the world is really appreciable. He is the best friend of all Tulu-Kannadigas and the whole Karnataka by providing social services throughout day and night. He is a social worker who has delivered dead bodies (including hospital, resident) of 19 people of various communities including Tulu-Kannadiga-Christians to their natives easily and he himself has cremated them. He is an efficient journalist who made a search and sent more than 21 people to their native who stayed in Mumbai for various reasons.
The award has been jointly instituted by Saavadhan, an association engaged in social service, and ’Nava Chintan’. Rons was recently honored with International Person of the Luminary’ at the 7th international cultural convention held at Bangkok in the month of July.
Rons cultivated his talent as a cartoonist in Mumbai during 1994. Later he set up Ronida Press Media Pvt Ltd Company, of which became the chairman and managing director. He was among the first ones to introduce electronic media and spot reporting in Kannada journalism.
Currently, he is the founder, honorary chief secretary of Kannadiga Patrakarthara Sangha, Maharashtra and has published ‘Diary-Directory’ under his editorship since past 3 years. With his vision, he has a plan of forming Journalists Bhavan at a cost of about 3 Crores near Santacruz airport. He is actively participating in more than 30 associations in the city.
He has been felicitated on at Dakshina Kannada Jilla’s 19th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana at Polali Shri Kshetra of Bantwal. It was conducted under the presidentship of Nadoja Prof. Kinnikambala Padmanabha Rao and Rons has been felicitated by State Minister of Youth affairs – K Abhayachandra Jain and Dr. M Mohan Alwa. He is a rare journalist who always fights for justice and makes visits throughout nation.
His long time project of conducting a huge convention of All India Kannada Journalists is going to be held from April 11th to 14th at Mumbai and many journalists throughout the nation are going to participate in this convention. The visit of Governor and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra will be most important part of this convention.
He was also honored with ‘Swarna Padaka’ award at a programme jointly organized by Mumbai University Kannada Department and Karnataka Sahitya Academy, Bangalore. Rons Bantwal is also recipient of ‘Parivarthan Prathistan Puraskar 2011’ of Parivarthan Prathistan Mumbai and ‘Sadhaka Journalist’ by Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy. He was honored with Swastik Sambrama state award and Divo Sahitya Puraskar in 2007.
Rons has been felicitated by various organizations like B S K B Association Mumbai, Rastriya Billavara Maha Mandala, Bharath Co-operative Bank Limited, Shafi Welfare Association Mumbai, Safallya Seva Sangha Mumbai among others.
