Uppla Kasargod, Mar 30:(DW) Former Karnataka chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa, said that whenever the people of India, which has always been considered a land of divine virtues, stray from the path of righteousness, sages step in promptly to rid their minds of falsified notions and perverted mindset."The Yagas conducted here during the last nine days to remove environmental imbalance, and spread awareness about the importance of medicinal herbs in one’s life, have become successful in heralding a new era in the region," he said.
He was speaking after taking part in the religious meeting organized on the concluding day of the ’Chaturveda Samhita Yaga and ’Bruhat Gayatri Ghruta Mahasamprapti Yaga’ performed at Nityananda Yogashram, Kondevoor in the district since the last nine days, on Sunday March 29.
Sri Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji of Subrahmanya Math said that as per scriptures, Yagas took birth in the earth along with the creation of human beings. "Fire is the most purified form. Offerings to the fire deity purify mind, intellect, and nature. The Yaga that has been performed with the coming together of all classes of people here has succeeded in real sense. Our ancient visionaries always insisted on keeping the intellect and mind directed towards general good of everyone. The Ghruta Samprapti Yaga has succeeded in this aim," he said. He added that the waves of purity emanating from Yagas and Yajnas that are fortified with holy hymns purify nature and surroundings, and in the end, result in welfare of everyone.
"Ghruta Samprapti Yaga, which has again reminded us of our age-old heritage of rich culture and power, has become highly successful. Even while leading worldly life, one should always lead noble lifestyle and keep introspecting on putting efforts to keep moving in the right direction and path one is treading," said Shiva Sujnanamurty Swamiji, Aremadanahalli, Hassan district.
Manila Sri Mohandas Paramahamsa Swamiji, Yogananda Saraswati Swamiji of Kondevoor Sri Nityananda Yogashram, and Kerinje Sri Muktananda Swamiji, were present. Brahmasri Kamala Prasada Asranna, heriditory trustee of Kateel Goddess Durgaparameshwari Temple, delivered benedictory address.
