Udupi: Delay on housing licenses at Panchayat limits, BJP staged protest.

Udupi, March 28, 2015: The Bharathiya Janatha Party staged protest to highlight the State Government’s strategic failure in the process of issuing licenses for buildings and house constructions at the Panchayat Limits.  The protest held at Jatka Stand near Service Bus station at Udupi on Saturday, 28th March, 2015.

During the keynote address Udayakumar Shetty State BJP working committee member and former President of Udupi District BJP said that there are 16000 applications in 146 Panchyats in the district are pending to issue new construction licenses. And the total in the state is 2.5 Lakhs of application and all these people suffer due to the wrong administration of the congress government in the state.The gram panchayats stopped issuing licenses to construct the houses since 3 months. The notice was given on the basis of ban order to Narikombu grama panchayat in Bantwal Taluk. The state government failed to realize the gravity of the issue, he said.

Kota Srinivas Poojary MLC and former Minister, Shobha Karandlaje MP of Udupi Chickmaglur Loksabha constituency spoke during the occasion.
