Puttur: Annual General Body Meeting of Alumni Association and Alumni Day Celebration was organized on 24-2-2015 at the College premises.

The Chief Guest of the function was Dr. Sukumar Gowda, Makkala Mantapa, Puttur addressing the gathering opined that Education should be value based. He said, “Present day education gives only an identity card of education but there is no substance in what is learnt.”  He further said, “Honesty, determination and hard work are the key to success.” He concluded by saying that a person should not only have job satisfaction but also work satisfaction.

The President of the function, Very Rev. Fr Alfred J Pinto said, “Students should learn to respect teachers, parents, school and nation only then he will evolve as a good citizen.” He was deeply impressed by the work done by the Alumni Association and requested them to continue the same in the years to come.”

As a tradition every year two achievers among the old students of the college will be felicitated and accordingly Dr. N Sukumar Gowda, Makkala Mantapa, Puttur, Mr. K.R Shenoy, K.V Shenoy Group, Puttur were honoured for their achievements in the respective field.  

The Guests of Honour Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, Campus Director and Chairman of P.G Studies, Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal of the College, Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo, Principal of St. Philomena PU College. Mr. Bharath Kumar A, Secretary of Alumni Association was also present.

The gathering was welcomed by Mr. JayaKumar Rai, President of Alumni Association. Ms. Shakuntala, Joint Secretary of Alumni Association proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Suresh Shetty and Mrs. Prathima Hegde compered the programme.
