Udupi : With the intention of Konkani Bhoroyyam, Konkani Vasuyyam, Konkani Ulovyyam, Konkani Sikoyyam ( shall write Konkani, shall read Konkani, shall talk Konkani, shall learn Konkani) to reach houses Gher Gher Konkani called program organized in order to save the Konkani language and culture.

Former President of Konkani Sahitya Academy, Government of Karnataka Shri Chinna Kasargod started the program in 2011 from the house of Dr. Mohandas Pai at Mangalore which now celebrating 100^th special program Gher Gher Kokani to be held at Hirgan, near Karkala on 16^th November, 2014 in the house of Hirgan Gokuldas Nayak.

The 100^th Gher Gher Konkani program to be inaugurated by Shri Chinna Kasargod at 9am. Upendra Pai former Zilla Panchayat President will preside the inaugural program of Gher Gher Konkani 100^th celebration. Roy Castalino President of Konkani Sahitya Academy, Pradeep Pai, Entrepreneur are chief guests.

Entrepreneur Borkatte Ganapathy Hegde ,  Administrator of Karkala Venketaramana Temple Jayarama Prabhu, Gowda Brahmin Vedike President S. Dinesh Prabhu, Puttur Udupi Lakshmi Venkatesha Temple Administrator Vasanth Nayak, Udupi District GSB Welfare Association Convener Vivekananda Shenoy and other will participate during the inaugural celebrations.

100^th celebration include various cultural programs, felicitation programs, RSB Community, Vaishavani Community, Thirthahalli Mahila Samaj, Kudala Deshashtha Adya Brahmin Community, Chithrapura Saraswatha Community and Brahmin community teams to hold Konkani Geethalahari under the direction of Thonse Ranga Pai.

During the press meet at Udupi Chempi Ramachandra Bhat, Mahesh Takur councilor of Udupi Muncipal council, Upendra Nayak former President of Zilla Panchayat, Shashi Bhushan Kini and Madhav were present.
