Manipal: District Athletic Association to organized  8^th “Syndicate Bank Half Marathon – 2014” on 14^th December, 2014 under the sponsorship of Syndicate Bank.

During in his press meet at Syndicate Bank Manipal, former MLA and also President of Udupi District Athletic Association President Shri Raghupathy Bhat said that 21 kilometer Syndicate Bank Half Marathon will starts from Syndicate Bank Head Office Manipal  at 6.30am on Sunday, 14^th December which terminated at starting point. Men and Women can participate in the half marathon.

Attractive prize money of Rs. 25,000 will be given to both men and women first winners respectively and second cash prize amount Rs. 15,000 and third cash prize will be Rs. 10,000/-. Meanwhile under 14 years girls 3 kilometers and under 17 years boys 5 kilometers half marathon will be held. First prize Rs 3,000, second prize Rs. 2000/- and third cash prize Rs. 1000 will be given. Boys and girls should give birth certificate prior to the marathon.

In order to support for sportsmen cash prizes also to be given to participants completion of half marathon with target. Meanwhile below 21 years boys and girls can also to participate and prizes are for first prize will be Rs. 5000, second Rs. 3000 and third prize will be 2000 respectively. Meantime 4, 5 and 6^th place winners also be given prizes.

The celebration Run for sportsmen, Bank workers, government workers and sport supporters also held half marathon and winners will be rewarded.

Raghupathy Bhat also said that in order to support district sports people prizes are given to all categories of half marathon. All participants of the half marathon who finish the target will be given certificates as well. Entry forms to be submitted before 10^th December to Denish Kumar A. , Secretary of District Athletic Association, Manipal PU College, Manipal – 576104, Udupi. Around 3000 sportsmen will expected to participate during the half marathon.
