Print Udupi: The two gold thieves arrested by udupi police
Udupi: Udupi police have arrested the two gold theives based on the statement of Two gold shop owners.
After a bench warrant from Karwar Judicial Court, Udupi police brought two thieves from Karwar jail who were convicted in various theft cases reported in Udupi, Manipal, Malpe, Kundapur and Kemmannu.
The two convicted theives has been identified as Manjunath(31), resident of Homhalli, Karwar and Manjunath(22), resident of Karwar.
It is allegedly said that when police inquired with the two convicted thieves regarding the theft, they revealed that they had stolen jewelleries from various places in the limits of Udupi police station. They later sold these stolen jewelleries to Thirumala Jewellers and Shri Mangala Jewellers in Udupi.
After taking the statements from the thieves, police detained Gangadhar, owner of Thirumala Jewellers and M P Jagadish, owner of Shri Mangala Jewellers.
