Dubai, Nov 2014: St. Joseph’s Belman Bethkati Association Dubai, held their annual picnic at Creek Park, on Friday 7th November 2014. Mr. Ivan D’souza, President of the Association welcomed the gathering and thanked everyone for their presence. The picnic commenced with prayers led by Joe Fernandes. Thereafter, a piping hot breakfast and tea was provided to the early birds.
Walter Monteiro with the assistance of Deepak Machado, conducted the entire day activities and involved all to actively participate in various team games such as Passing the balloon, Dodge ball, throw ball, lemon & spoon race for the kids. Also an informative Quiz was conducted on the parishes in Udupi diocese.
Traditional Mangalorean lunch was provided from Al Shay restaurant to a crowd of around 80. The delicious lunch was enjoyed by all which was followed by a talent show of children of all ages. The children entertained the audience with their performance and were suitably rewarded with gifts. Evening tea was served with snacks.
Thereafter a tug of war was conducted to decide the final winning team. The winners were rewarded with sweets, which they shared with the team members.
Overall, it was a fun filled day with everybody having a good time with family and friends.
