Kallianpur, Sep 2014: Popular and one of the oldest medical practitioner of Kemmannu Dr. Devidas Bhat was felicitated at the 17th Annual meet of Thonse Zonal Brahmin Committee celebrations held at the Mahalingeshwar Temple, Kallianpur recently.
Dr. Bhat, who has completed 50 years in medical service, is the family doctor of several families for the last 3 generations. His original clinic was inaugurated at Kemmannu by the then MLA late Mr. M. Madhwaraj on 21.02.1965.

| Dr. Devidas Bhat’s contribution to basic health care and saving several lives can not to under estimated. When young, he was at call even at the middle of the night to save lives. He is still serving, fighting a life threatening illness and an unfortunate attack on him at the middle of the night at Nejar long ago, which forced him to stop visiting patients at night. May he be healthy and live long. Agree[3]

| At 62 years of age today I still remember visiting Dr.Pai who had a clinic at old Diana restaurant in udupi, where Dr. Devidas Bhat was an assistant delegating medicines. Infect I have taken medicines then and after he was our family doctor later. Infect he was only doctor known in Kemmannu after Dr. Holla. Dr. D. Bhat, indeed you were a savior Agree[12]
