Mudarangady : On Sunday, the 27^th June at the end of holy mass celebration, Mr. Ivan DSouza, who is the  newly appointed MLC of Karnataka government was felicitated on behalf of all the Kenha Mudarangadi parishioners.

Mr. Ivan DSouza was felicitated with a Mysore peta (crown) by Rev. Fr. Dennis DSouza, shawl by Rev. Fr. Lawrence Mendonca, and   garlanded by Mr. Sunil DSouza (Waves) vice-president of Kenha parish council on behalf of all Parishoners, tray of fruits by Mr. Mark DSouza (secretary of Kenha parish council) and a memorable memento of our patron St. Francis Xavier by Rev. Fr. Louis Dsa (parish priest Kenha Mudarangadi).  

Fr. Louis Dsa spoke about Mr. Ivan DSouza and wished him success and blessed him in his work as an MLC of Karnataka government. Mr. Ivan DSouza spoke about his experience and the challenges he faced to reach the MLC position. He also said in his speech that he is always there for all the parishioners to support them in their needs for education, jobs etc... He also announced funds for the St. Francis Xavier additional school building from his MLC fund. Parishioners also appreciated Dr. Kavitha DSouza for her marvelous support to Mr. Ivan DSouza and for the service she is rendering in the hospital for the poor and needy under her profession. She was also identified for her service by giving a shawl by father Lawrence Mendonca and a garland by Mrs. Anitha DSouza, former Taluk Panchayath president of Udupi District. Along with our parishioners, his family members, relatives, friends and other parishoners joined this facilitation program. Sweets were distributed to all the gathered people on behalf of Mr. Ivan DSouza MLC of Karnataka government.

After this felicitation program foundation stone was laid to the St. Francis Xavier additional school building by Mr. Ivan DSouza and his wife Dr. Kavitha DSouza. Foundation stone was blessed by Rev. Fr. Louis Dsa, parish priest St. Francis Xavier Kenha Mudarangadi. MLC Ivan Dsouza stated that in spite of any medium a person studies, he can become a great man one day with his goal and a strong dedication to achieve it.  With this note the program came to an end at sharp 9.45 AM.
