Print Konkani Natak Sabha holds Inter Parish Singing Competition
Konkani Natak Sabha®(KNS) Mangalore organized 51st Inter Parish Singing Competition for the children of different parishes of Mangalore Diocese in the Don Bosco Hall Mangalore here on Sunday July 27.
The Competition was held in two parts - out of City Parishes and City Parishes in 5 to 10 years and 10 to 15 years category. In the Out of City Parishes in 3 entries (solo, duet and mixed group) 88 competitors from 7 Parishes took part in the competition. Nithyadhar Nagar Parish bagged first place, Madanthyar Parish won second place and Gurpur Parish placed third.
In the City Parishes in 3 entries (solo, duet and mixed group) 95 competitors from 10 Parishes took part in the competition. Cordel Parish bagged first place, Cascial Parish bagged second place and Valencia Parish third place.
Rony Crasta, Alwyn D’Cunha and Anitha Rodrigues were the judges. Fr Cyprian Peter D’Souza welcomed the gathering. Raymond D’Cunha and Jery Pinto compered the programme, Convener Felix Sequeia introduced the judges. General Secretary Sunil Menezes proposed vote of thanks.
