Hrithik, Sudhakar Shetty hails brave-heart fireman Yevlekar - Donates for the family.

Mumbai, July 26, 2014: Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan condoled the death of fireman, Nitin Yevlekar, who died while trying to put out blaze at a high-rise in suburban Andheri.

Yevlekar was the only casualty in the mishap that occurred a few days back at the 22-storey Lotus Business Park, a commercial building, where the 40-year-old actor’s family owns five floors.

There are reports that Hrithik has donated Rs 15 lakh to the family of the deceased fireman, but it cannot be confirmed officially. “It’s important (that) we help one another. It is important to know that others will help us in times when we need support, for that, we must take initiative especially in cases where a family is bereaved of a father, who died in the line of duty. There is so much we can do as a society but it needs to start with the individual,” Hrithik said in a statement here.

“I promise you, when you give, it always pays back. Someday, somehow. Let’s stick together. My highest respects and deepest condolences to the family of the brave and courageous Nitin Yevlekar,” the statement said.

Meanwhile Sudhakar Shetty of Shahana Builders and developers and Jai Maharastras 24x7 News Channel Managing Director donated a sum of Rs. 10 Lakhs to the family of firmean, Nitin Yevlekar and condoled the death of this brave-heart firman.

The donation was handed over to the deceased wife Shubangi Nithin Yevlekar who was invited to the office of Sudhakar Shetty. Local MLA and Nitin Yevlekar’s  daughter, parents and few close relatives were present during the event along with the officials from Shahana Builders and news channel. During the interaction it was noted that hundreds of political leaders visited the house so far after the death of Nitin and shower the family with all types of promises, but there was no material benefits from them.

MLA Yadav who spoke during the event  promised to investigate the cause of the death and speed up the process of government aid to the family and he said that he has already discussed the matter with the chief minister Chavan.
