Print Mumbai, July 25, 2014: D. J. Sanghvi College of Engineering will be hosting the Indian Nationals on the 25 th , 26 th and 27 th of July, 2014. Indian Nationals is a cubing tournament in which participants compete with each other in solving the Rubik’s Cube and other puzzles. The participant who manages to solve the cube fastest is declared the winner of that competition. The tournament will be held in collaboration with WCA (World Cube Association) that organizes and governs competitions all over the world and is supported by national organizations responsible for organizing competitions in their countries.
WCA organizes Nationals in very few countries such as Australia and USA. Nationals are held in only those countries that WCA feels has participants of very good calibre. These tournaments are attended by people from various countries all over the globe. This is the first of its kind event in the Indian subcontinent.
A total of 18 competitions will be held in the tournament, some of which are Rubik’s cube, 2x2, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 3x3 blindfolded, 3x3 onehanded, megaminx, pyraminx, square 1,skewb and Rubik’ clock. Keeping in mind the magnitude of the tournament, an attendance of more than 400 is expected. We have participation from 4 nationalities as of now, namely India, Australia, USA and Indonesia.
