Udupi : Department of Mathematics, Milagres College Kallianpur near here organized inaugural function of UGC sponsored Two days National Conference on Numerical methods and Network Analysis, NCONN 2014 on Thursday, 17^th July, 2014 at Milagres Silver Jubilee Hall.

Dr. Raghuvir Pai, Director Research (Tech), Manipal University inaugurated the function with lighting the lamp along with others on the dais. Dr. Nery  Cornelio Principal of Milagres College presided the inaugural function. Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions and Rector of Milagres Cathedral, Dr. E. Sampath Kumar Emeritus Professor, Mysore University, Prof. Aruna P. Kamath Principal of SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore,  Umesh Naik President of Mathematics Association, Mangalore University, Dr. Gerald Pinto Dean of Science Faculty, Milagres College and Dr. Surekha Bhat Convener NCONN 2014 and HOD, Mathematics were present on the dias.

Speaking on the inaugural address Dr. Raghuvir Pai said that Kallianpur and Manipal something common. The great founders of Manipal Institutions were from Kallianpur. Mathematics is the fundamental of life. It may well be that the high speed digital computer will have as great an influence on Mathematics. He all praise for the Milagres Institutions which inspiring large number of students. He met several Milagrean students in MIT, Manipal who had done well.

Very Rev Fr Stany B. Lobo blessed the occasion. During his keynote address Dr. E. Sampath Kumar impressed a class of differential equations. He said that Mathematics is fundamental  way of radio ways, electronic signals etc., and network analysis.

The guest of honor Prof. Aruna P. Kamath stressed that teaching with innovative skills should be the ultimate goal of the faculty attached to professional educational institutions.

Presiding over inaugural function Dr. Nery Cornelio happy to note that better staff members under the leadership of Dr. Gerald Pinto Dean of the Science Faculty on the motivation to students with so many seminars, conferences and so on during the academic year. He thanked all concerned for the conducting seminar in the college.

Earlier, after the invocation prayer song led by Royston and party, Dr. Surekha Bhat Convener  of the NCONN 2014 & HOD of Mathematics welcomed the gatherings. Sebi Joseph Lecturer proposed vote of thanks. Prof. Archana Dabade assisting with Sr. Jacintha Crasta & Royston compered the inaugural function. Two days National Conference which participated by number of delegates all over .
