Print Puttur : The Commerce and the Management Association of St. Philomena College had organised a talk on Union Budget 2014 on 14th July, 2014 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall, St. Philomena College,
The function was presided over by the Vice Principal of the college, Prof. Vishnu Bhat. In his presidential address he threw light on different facets of the Union Budget.” The Resource Person Mr. Jay Prassad Moleyar, Financial Analyst said, “For a common middle class man the important aspect of the budget becomes the personal income tax, but as commerce and management students you should be concerned about the totality of the budget.”
He explained the different allocations of the budget and pointed the source and the prudent expenditure of the govt. He told the students that it is important to do analysis of the budget so that they can understand implications better. Prof. Maxim Carl, Dean and Head, Department of Commerce and Management was present.
The gathering was welcomed by the President of Commerce Association, Mr.Pavan John Mascarehnas of lll B.Com. Vote of thanks was proposed by the President of Management Association Mr. Raj Gopal of lll B.B.M. The Master of the Ceremony was Ms. Helma of lll B.com.
