Mumbai : Lions Clubs 97th International Convention at Toronto Ontario, Canada from 4th July to 8th July 2014 was a great & amazing experience as more than Seventeen Thousand Lion members from more than 140 Countries across the globe attended the convention.

Yonge Street (pronounced "young street") is a major arterial route connecting the shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto to Lake Simcoe, a gateway to the Upper Great Lakes. It was formerly listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest street in the world at 1,896 km, was buzzing with crowd of members all over the world.

From India, Lion Members came in thousands, even from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai to Alibaug, even western region of Mumbai more than 100 members attended the event. Ln Anil Jadhav, DG,was installed along with other DGs from other countries & International President International President Joe Preston. Ln  Ln Nitin Shetty, VDG 1 , Ln Ashok Mehta, PIP, Ln Raju Manwani, Intl Director graced the event. The flags & Banners of India made a very good impact of presence of Indians attending in large numbers at the INTERNATIONAL PARADE, across the streets of  Toronto as it was flashed on many channels in Toronto, Canada.

David Foster, who married The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Yolanda Hadid Foster, was Honored by Lion Barry Palmer, IP, Humanitarian of the year award, as David Foster Foundation has given money to the 400 Charity organizations in the world in the past 2 decades.Olivia Newton-John, AO, OBE is a British-born Australian singer, songwriter, and actress, who acted with John Travolta, sang at the event.Olivia Newton-John was diagnosed with breast cancer more than 16 years ago, has The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre is located at the Austin Hospital in Heidelberg, Melbourne.  Our vision is for a world-class Cancer & Wellness Centre dedicated to providing the very best in medical care and treatment; combined with research programs for new treatments to help stop cancer from destroying the lives of so many people, she said.
