Kemmannu, July 10, 2014: Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas, who served as Parish priest of Kemmannu Church departed Kemmannu on Sunday, July 8, 2014. He will take up the position as Director of Education of Catholic Board of Education of Udupi Diocese.
After a brief prayer led by Fr. Herald Pereira, the new Resident priest of Kemmannu, the priest left the parish accompanied by a few parishioners. New parish priest Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves and Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Chancellor, DIOCESE OF UDUPI also accompanied the priest.
He was welcomed at the Mother of sorrows church by Fr. Fred Mascarenhas, Vicar Vara of Udupi deanery. Bishop of Udupi Diocese Most Rev. Dr. Gerald Issac Lobo briefly joined the ceremony and welcomed him.
Along with Kemmannu parishioners the priest inaugurated his office situated at the third floor of the adjacent building of Udupi Church.
