Print Kallianpur/Santhekatte, July 8, 2014: The Maria Goretti ward members of Mt Rosary Church celebrated the feast of their patron saint Maria Goretti on Sunday 6th June 2014. The ward members thanked the lord for the blessings received in the year by celebrating the thanksgiving mass. Fr Henry was the main celebrant & Fr Philip Neri Aranha co-celebrated the mass.
Later the ward members got together for a fellowship. the programme began at 12 noon with the prayer service conducted by the ward members. Ward Gurkar Mr Richard dias welcomed the gathering . Fr Philip Neri, Parish Priest ; Sr Joyce Goretti Hospital administrator & Sr Veera were the guests.
Various achievers of the ward were honoured. Mrs Veera Almeida read the report for the whole year . The guests gave their message and wished the ward members a happy feast.
The ward members performed various kinds of entertainment such as songs, dance etc.
Various games were conducted by Jezel Lewis & Wernher Dsilva. Mrs Janet Lewis & Mrs Laveena Menezes were the compeers of the programme. Mrs Jyothi Lewis proposed the vote of thanks. The celebration ended with lunch which was followed by a baila dance.
