Free Medical Camp St. Joseph Church, Jeppu, Catholic Sabha

Free Medical Camp Organized by St. Joseph Church, Jeppu, Catholic Sabha, Jeppu – ICYM & Health Commission, Jeppu in collaboration with KMC Hospital, Attavar, KMC Hospital, Ambedkar Circle, Mangaluru, and Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Mangaluru.

Inauguration

The Free Medical Camp began with a solemn inauguration ceremony. The programme was presided over by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, who formally inaugurated the camp.

 Mrs. Anitha Aranha-Secretary, Parish Pastrol committee
 Miss Reshma Penha – Secretary, Catholic Sabha and ICYM President
 Mrs. Philomena Dsilva, All Commission coordinator

Mr. Dennis Apos warmly welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Maxim D’Souza, in his opening address, highlighted the importance of preventive healthcare and the numerous benefits offered through the medical camp. He encouraged parishioners and the public to make maximum use of the services provided.

The programme was efficiently anchored by Mrs. Savita Platina. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Miss Reshma Penha, Secretary of Catholic Sabha, Jeppu.Camp Highlights. The medical camp provided comprehensive healthcare services to the public. The facilities available included:

 Ophthalmology – Free Eye Check-up
 Podiatry – Foot Care Examination
 General Medicine
 Dermatology
 ENT
 Orthopedics
 Gynecology & Obstetrics
 Pediatrics
 Dental Care (Fillings & Scalings)
 Blood sugar Test

KMC Hospital issued Green Cards to eligible patients during the camp. Patients admitted to the hospital using this Green Card will receive further treatment benefits.

Awareness Message

Dr. Praveen Chandra delivered an informative and inspiring talk on diabetes awareness with the meaningful motto:
“I Will Not Walk Barefoot.”

He emphasized proper foot care, early diagnosis, and regular medical check-ups to prevent complications related to diabetes.

Total Beneficiaries: 137 people
Medical Team Involved: Approximately 45 doctors and nursing staff

The camp witnessed an encouraging response from the parishioners and the local community. The dedicated efforts of the doctors, nurses, volunteers, and organizers ensured the smooth conduct of the camp.

The Free Medical Camp was a great success, reflecting the Church’s commitment to community welfare and holistic well-being. The collaboration between St. Joseph Church, Catholic Sabha, ICYM, Health Commission, KMC Hospitals, and Manipal College of Dental Sciences made this initiative impactful and meaningful.
