Print The ’National Science Day’ was celebrated at Government Higher Primary School, Hangarakatte, in joint collaboration with the Alliance Club Kota Brahmavar.
The Science Model Exhibition of the students was inaugurated by Mr. Sudhakar Hegde, District Assistant Governor of the Alliance Club. It was wonderful, creative imagination of young minds in this School over the years, and they represented these models and prototype innovations in various, District, State and National level.
The formal function was inaugurated by Mr. Airody Karunakar Shetty, President of Alliance Club Kota Brahmavar.
On this occasion, various competitions were organized for students from Classes 1 to 7, including:
Science Model Making Competition
Science-Themed Rangoli Drawing Competition
Science Quiz
Prizes were distributed to the winners.

The programme was presided over by Mrs. Rekha Udupa, President of the School SDMC.
Students who were selected at the National Level were felicitated and honoured during the function.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Usharani.
The introductory speech was delivered by Mrs. Vidyashree.
The welcome address was given by the Headmistress of the School Mrs. Pressilla.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted by Mrs. Veena Shetty, Barkur.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Yashoda.
Mrs. Ramya and Mrs. Lavina extended their support in making the programme a grand success.
It was indeed a wonderful and meaningful celebration of International Science Day.
Hundreds of students, from neighbouring Schools, enthusiastic parents, teachers paid visit to the Exhibition and appreciated the students and their mentors.
