MCC Bank Ltd, Belman Branch Celebrates 1st Anniversary and ₹10 Crore Turnover Milestone

MCC Bank, Belman Branch, celebrated its 1st Anniversary along with the remarkable achievement of crossing ₹10 Crore in business turnover on Saturday, 28th February 2026 at Belman Branch.

The function was presided over by Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo, Chairman of MCC Bank. The Chief Guests for the occasion were Rev. Fr Denis Dsouza, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Church, Parappady and Ms Laila Babitha Noronha, Teacher at St Joseph High School, Belman. Vice Chairman Mr Jerald Jude Dsilva, General Manager Mr Sunil Menezes, Branch Manager of Belman Branch Ms Shiny Lasrado were on the dais.

A ceremonial cake-cutting was conducted by the Chairman, esteemed guests, founder customers of Belman Branch on behalf of all the customers of Belman Branch, Branch Manager, and other dignitaries, symbolizing the successful completion of one year and the significant ₹10 Crore turnover milestone.

Founder customers were honoured by Chairman Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo in recognition of their trust and foundational support extended to the Bank since the inception of the Belman Branch. The Chairman felicitated them on behalf of all the customers of the Belman Branch as a mark of gratitude for their continued patronage and commitment.

In his Presidential Address, Chairman Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo emphasized that the remarkable ₹10 crore milestone achieved within the first year is the result of collective effort, visionary planning, and, above all, the unwavering trust of customers. He stated that the bank’s primary intention is to provide quick and efficient service to its customers. He recalled asking the Branch Manager how many customers were expected to attend the programme. She confidently assured him that more than 150 customers would be present, and she proved it right. He appreciated her efforts in inviting the customers and organizing such a large gathering.

He stressed that customers must approach the bank with trust, and in return, the bank must provide trustworthy service—understanding their needs, resolving their problems, and ensuring satisfaction. He stated that it is because of the strong support and trust of the customers that the bank was able to achieve this milestone. The bank reached the ₹10 crore mark in the month of December itself and has now crossed the ₹12 crore milestone. He congratulated the customers for this achievement and described them as the true brand ambassadors of the bank. He remarked that if a satisfied customer shares their positive experience with ten others, the bank will naturally grow without the need for advertisement.

He further stated that when the present management took charge of the bank in 2018, some members doubted whether they could lead the bank to greater heights. Taking this as a challenge, the management worked with determination and successfully fulfilled the promises made to the members, overcoming all obstacles over the years. Under the current leadership, the bank has expanded its branches from 16 to 21 and has plans to increase the number to 25 by opening new branches at Deralakatte and Katapady, and by exploring opportunities in Honnavar and Mangalore. Additionally, 15 new ATMs have been opened. He also announced that UPI and Google Pay services will be implemented within the next two to three months.

He concluded by reiterating that the bank’s growth depends on the continued trust of its customers. He thanked all the customers for their presence, support, and confidence in the bank, and requested their continued cooperation in the future. He also expressed special gratitude to the senior customers present for their strong commitment and loyalty.

In his keynote address, Rev. Fr Denis Dsouza appreciated the remarkable progress achieved by the Belman Branch within a short duration. He commended the bank for its ethical practices, disciplined administration, transparency, and service-oriented approach. He expressed his happiness at being part of the programme celebrating the achievement of a ₹10 crore business turnover as well as the 1st Anniversary celebration. He mentioned that he has been associated with the bank since 2004. He fondly remembered the support extended by the bank when he needed a loan. At a time when other banks were reluctant to sanction his loan, MCC Bank came forward to help him.

He stated that MCC Bank has now transformed significantly. The bank currently offers all the facilities available in private banks, and under the leadership of the present Chairman, it has shown remarkable performance. He emphasized that strong leadership is essential for the development of any institution, and the present Chairman has successfully fulfilled that role. He appreciated the Chairman’s good personality and his ability to build strong relationships with everyone, including customers.

Comparing MCC Bank with other banks, he said that MCC Bank stands apart due to its dedicated and customer-focused service. The bank ensures quality service, transparency, and trust. He added that with capable leaders at the helm, MCC Bank will continue to grow and provide excellent service to all in the future. He concluded by praying for God’s blessings upon the bank and all its customers.

Chief Guest Mrs Laila Babitha Noronha expressed her admiration for the bank’s professional standards and customer-friendly environment. She congratulated MCC Bank on achieving a ₹10 crore turnover within one year and on celebrating its 1st anniversary.

She remarked that while it usually takes a child one year to stand on its feet, MCC Bank Belman Branch has started running within its very first year. As evidence of this rapid progress, she highlighted the remarkable achievement of reaching ₹10 crore within just 10 months of its opening. She stated that this is not a small accomplishment, but a truly remarkable and appreciable milestone.

Recalling the time of the bank’s inauguration, she said that many had questioned whether there was a need to open an MCC Bank branch in Belman. However, the present success clearly proves that there was indeed a strong need for the branch in Belman. The branch has already built a customer base reflecting the trust and support of the local community.

She noted that the branch is highly customer-friendly and that, compared to other banks; MCC Bank connects with customers in their own language. She pointed out that this personalized approach is one of the key reasons for achieving this significant milestone.

She congratulated the Chairman, the Board of Directors, and especially the Branch Manager and staff of the Belman branch for their dedicated efforts. She concluded by wishing the bank continued success in its future endeavors and expressed her hope that the bank would grow from a ₹10 crore turnover to ₹100 crore, ₹1,000 crore, and beyond

Further, the children of customers, as well as customers of the Branch who excelled in the SSLC and PUC examinations, were felicitated by the Chairman for their outstanding academic achievements with shawl, certificate and flower bouquet.

The SSLC achievers were, Janish Menezes – 94.40%, Prishma D’Cruz – 92.64%, Rhea Rachael Rodrigues – 83% and Pearl Marisa Cardoza – 90%. The PUC achievers were, Joshwa Herald Fernandes – 97%, Rolisha Priya D’Silva – 95.50% and Joswin Christen Pais – 88%.

The Chairman congratulated all the achievers and wished them continued success in their future academic and professional pursuits.
Customers who were celebrating their special milestone birthdays (25th, 50th, 60th, 75th, and 80th) were honoured with a shawl, a flower bouquet, and a gift as a mark of appreciation and celebration.

During the occasion, customers were given the opportunity to share their feedback and raise any queries. The customers appreciated the progress and performance of the bank. The Chairman responded to their queries with suitable and satisfactory answers.
The programme commenced with a prayer song rendered by the bank staff members followed by documentary presentation showcasing the inspiring journey of MCC Bank and the progress of present Management.

As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to the dignitaries by Chairman Sahakara Ratna Mr Anil Lobo in gratitude for their esteemed presence and guidance.

Rev. Fr Denis Dsouza, who is celebrating his Silver Jubilee of Priestly Ordination on 25th April 2026, was also honoured on the occasion with a shawl, a memento, and a flower bouquet.

Director, Dr Freeda Dsouza, welcomed the gathering. Mr Jason Pereira, Shirthady competed the programme and proposed vote of thanks.
