LSD drug network busted in Manipal: Fourth accused arrested, more than 2 kg of ganja seized

Print Manipal: The Manipal police have arrested four persons in connection with an NDPS case registered at Manipal police station in Udupi district.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ajmal (26), Son of Abdul Rashid is a native of Chettiparamba Village, Chettiparamba, Malappuram District, Kerala State and presently residing at Premium Park Apartment, Flat No 201, Manipal.
Based on the specific information received by the police, the accused was taken into custody on 04/02/2026 at around 12 noon when he was selling ganja near Max showroom near Syndicate Circle, Manipal. A total of 2084 grams of ganja worth Rs 1 lakh was seized.
In this case, three accused including Apshin and Shivnidhi Acharya have already been arrested and a total of 1237 grams of ganja, 0.038 grams of LSD slips, digital weighing machine, empty plastic covers, mobile phones and Rs.2000 cash were seized from their possession.The accused were produced in court and remanded in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the four accused at Manipal police station.
