Udupi, Feb. 9 : Senior BJP leader and Karnataka Legislative Council member Pratap Sinha Nayak demanded immediate resignation of State Excise Minister R B Thimmapura for his alleged corruption charges.
Addressing a press conference held at District BJP office at Kadiyali, on Monday, Feb 9, Pratap Sinha Nayak said that there has been accusation of multi crore corruption charges in the excise department which the said department minister R B Thimmapura was directly involved. In Karnataka, we used to always say that the Congress party is using ATMs for corruption in the state of which corruption in the excise department is the witness.
In relation to corruption charges on minister R B Thimmapura, the chief minister Siddaramaih talking in favour of the minister would be not fair and reasonable. The minister should resign and face the investigation. If the investigation results in favour of him, then he can continue as a minister of the state cabinet, he said.
He said that in every department like Energy, Labour and other departments, we can see that total corruption prevailed. The state government’s profession is only blaming Hinduism. The Congress government is always blaming the constitutional national institutions, he said.
BJP District General Secretary Srikanth Nayak, District Spokesperson Diwakara Shetty Kapu, District Secretaries Srinidhi Hegde Hirebettu and Shivakumar Ambalapadi were present during the press conference.
