Colourful Republic Day Celebrations at National Campus, Barkur.

The National Campus at Barkur reverberated with patriotic fervour as students of Hanehalli Primary School, National High School, and National PU College came together to celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm and pride.

The celebrations were marked by a colourful and disciplined parade, where students smartly showcased unity, patriotism, and respect for the nation. Their confident march, patriotic slogans, and synchronised movements reflected deep love for the motherland and drew appreciation from all present.

The National Tricolour was unfurled by Mr. Shedikodlu Vittal Shetty, Vice President of the Barkur Educational Society, in a solemn and dignified ceremony.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary of the Barkur Educational Society; Mr. Raj Gopal Nambiar, Correspondent of National High School and National PU College; and Mr. Archibald Furtado, Administrative Coordinator of the National Group of Educational Institutions.

In his inspiring address, the octogenarian leader Mr. Vittal Shetty fondly recalled his nostalgic memories of the early years of Independence and reflected on the remarkable progress and development of modern India. He emphasised that the nation’s growth was made possible through the immense sacrifices of our national leaders and the strength of the sacred Constitution, which guarantees education, equality, and fraternity to every citizen.

Students representatives in Sanjana, Gayathri, Samruddhi, Tanvi and others shared an insightful reflections on the 77th Republic Day and Constitution.

Primary School children displayed a beautiful dance at the backdrop of patriotic fervor and National pride, as Headmistress Mrs Hemavathy PS and Headmaster Mr Udaya Shetty and all staff members supervised the whole event seamlessly.

The celebration stood as a meaningful reminder of India’s glorious past, responsible present, and promising future, leaving everyone filled with pride and renewed patriotic spirit.

To conclude the beautiful program Mrs Usha Kiran Shetty, the Principal of National PU College proposed a heartfelt vote of thanks and distribution of sweets Icecream etc generously sponsored by Correspondent Mr Rajgopal Nambiar to all present.
