Udupi, Jan 19: Deputy Commissioner Swaroopa T K called upon the officials to take care of preparing the Udupi District Human Development Report-2025 and the Comprehensive and Sustainable District Development Plan-2031 report and provide accurate data in a time-bound manner.

She was speaking after inaugurating a one-day training programme for district and taluk level officials on preparation of Udupi District Human Development Report-2025 and Comprehensive and Sustainable District Development Plan-2031 at Zilla Panchayat Dr. V. S. Acharya Auditorium, Rajathadri, Manipal today.
She said that the Udupi District Human Development Report-2025 and the Comprehensive and Sustainable District Development Plan-2031 report are very important documents and all the departments should be fully involved in the process of its preparation and provide the relevant documents in a short time and the emphasis should be on human development from the gram panchayat level.
The Integrated and Sustainable District Development Plan-2031 aims to achieve holistic development of the district based on various human development indicators, including education, health, nutrition, infrastructure, social inclusion and environmental sustainability. The information should be provided by the authorities, data collection, analysis, departmental cooperation. She said that there is a need for coordination among the departments for the overall development of the district.

ZP Chief Executive Officer Prateek Bayal said that all departments should participate with relevant information while presenting the Udupi District Human Development Report-2025 and Comprehensive and Sustainable District Development Plan-2031. Also, feedbacks should be provided.
There is a high demand for District Human Development Report, which can be referred to formulate future plans. This year’s District Human Development Report is different and will contribute to the development of sustainable development. Human development will be possible if the people have more options at their disposal. Development depends on education, health and livelihood of the people.

He said that the District Human Development Report has a very important value. If the district and taluk-level officials give proper and clear information, it will help in the development of the district, he said.
Officials at the district and taluk levels can also point out the problems faced while formulating the plan. New projects can also be identified. In addition, the report will be given more importance if it is accompanied by photographs of local art, culture, costumes that attract people.
