Mumbai: National Blind Cricket Tournament 2026

WE District 323 A2 - Clubs -WE Club of Vasant Vihar, WE C of Vashi, Navi Mumbai, WE C of Vile Parle contributed to make the project successful, by sponsoring giving cheque in favor of “The Blind Welfare Organization, India”, for  National Blind Cricket Tournament 2026 by “The Blind Welfare Organization, India”. (BWOI) ) for the 11th year, working for the social awareness and all-round development of Visually Impaired. 

In this condition, BWOI are organizing the National Blind Cricket Tournament in Mumbai from 13th, 14th, and 15th January 2026 in order to give scope to the talent qualities of blind people and to cultivate sportsmanship among them. 8 teams are participating from all over India. Siyaram’s is one of main sponsors of this great event since many years. WE members including WE Mala Shetty Past Dist. President & WE Sudha Kamath PDP were present on the inauguration on 13th Jan 26.

Expected expenditure for the event is around 18,24,000/- (Eighteen Lac twenty four Thousand rupees Only), initiated by , Mr. Arun Bharaskar President (BWOI) & BWOI team since 11 years, one of the permanent registered social organizations working for the social awareness and All-round development of the blinds.

Mr. Ramesh Poddar, Chairman & Managing Director of Siyaram Silk Mills Ltd., a major Indian textile and apparel company was present, is one of the main sponsors for National Blind Cricket since many years, arranged National Cricket Tournament from 13th, 14th, and 15th January 2026 at Brabourne Stadium and Islam Gymkhana Mumbai. In this tournament the teams of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Punjab, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi will be competing for the prizes.

BWOI also implementing the following programs and Schemes: Scholarships, Self-employment, Education, Sport Activities, create social awareness, Personality Development, music academy, etc

Title Sponsorship (11, 50,000) or Associate Sponsorship (7, 50,000) against Prizes, Sports Equipments, Medical, T-Shirts – Caps with printing and local travelling.

The Prizes will be as follows: 1st Prize Rs. 51000 + Trophy 2nd Prize Rs. 41000 + Trophy Man of the Series Rs. 15000+Trophy Man of the Match Rs.4500 Each There will be certificates for all of the winners. Trophy and Certificate Expense Rs. 25000 The Remaining Participating teams will be awarded Rs. 7500 for each participant. THERE WILL BE CERTIFICATE FOR ALL THE WINNERS. TROPHY AND CERTIFICATES
