Udupi : Interstate bike theft accused arrested

Udupi, January 13: The Udupi police arrested two interstate theft accused in connection with the bike theft that took place near Udupi Karavali Bypass on January 4 in Mukkam, Koikkodu district of Kerala state.
Arrested accused are Ashiq Ansar (19) and Altaf (23) of Ernakulam district of Kerala state. The bike was seized from them. About Rs. 70,000 valued stolen bike was parked near the Karavali Bypass on the night of December 28 by Nagachandra of Moodanidambur village. A case was registered at Udupi Nagar Police Station.
In this regard, under the direction of Udupi DySP DT Prabhu, under the guidance of Udupi City Police station Incharge Police Inspector Mahesh Prasad, a crime detection team including Prasanna C., Santhosh Rathod, Mallaiah Hiremath, Shivakumar was formed under the leadership of Bharetesh Kankanwadi, Gopalakrishna Jogi, Sub-Inspector of Police.
2 cases have been registered against Ashiq Ansar in the state of Kerala, one of which is a case of burglary and the other is a case of consumption of Ganja. A total of 5 cases have been registered against Altaf in the state of Kerala, of which 3 are theft cases and 2 are Ganja consumption cases.
