National High School, Barkur – School Day Celebration Report
11th December 2025 | National Auditorium, 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm

National High School, Barkur celebrated its much-awaited School Day on Thursday, 11th December 2025, at the spacious National Auditorium, which was filled to capacity with parents, esteemed guests, well-wishers and enthusiastic students.

The programme began prayerfully as the High School students invoked God’s blessings to set a solemn and inspiring tone for the afternoon.

Warm Welcome & Presentation of Achievements

Headmistress Mrs. Hemavathy P. S. extended a warm and cordial welcome to all dignitaries and parents, expressing gratitude for their continued support and encouragement.

Senior Science Teacher Mrs. Jyothi Shetty respectfully recalled the long list of the generous sponsors of endowment prizes and their proud recipients. This was followed by Kannada Teacher Mr. Maruti, who presented details of special achievers who excelled at various levels during the academic year.

Presidential Address

The program was presided over by Mr. Ashok Kumar Shetty, Secretary of the Barkur Educational Society. In his enlightening presidential remarks, he emphasized the importance of School Day celebrations in showcasing student talent and strengthening school-community bonding. He wholeheartedly appreciated the tireless efforts of the Headmistress and staff for guiding and preparing the students and personally felicitated the special achievers on this occasion.

Well-Organised Stage Programme

The stage proceedings were well-structured, smooth and articulate, anchored with confidence by Senior Teacher Mr.Prabhakar G P, Sanskrit Pundit, ensuring a dignified and engaging flow of events.

The cultural segment—stretching for nearly two delightful hours—was a vibrant blend of:

Folklore presentations
A colourful Yakshagana sequence

Modern and thematic dances
Each performance reflected the school’s commitment to preserving cultural heritage while encouraging modern artistic expression. The audience responded with admiration and applause throughout.

Conclusion
The memorable celebration came to a joyful close at 5.15 pm, leaving parents, guests, and every audience member with memorable moments to cherish.
