Udupi, Dec 11 : With the blessings of Paryaya Sri Puttige Sri Krishna Math, Udupi, Paryaya Peethadheesha, His Holiness Sri Sri Suganendra Theertha Sripada and His disciple Sri Susreendra Theertha Sripada, Alva’s Nudisiri - Virasat Udupi unit will be celebrating the cultural glory of Alva’s at Sri Sri Vishweshateertha Sripada Vedika in the parking lot near Sri Krishna Math Rajangana, Udupi on Saturday, December 13 at 5:45 pm.

Addressing a press conference at Udupi Press Club here on Thursday today, Murli Kadekar, Organizing Secretary said that the 45-minute-long programme will be inaugurated by His Holiness Sri Suganendra Theertha Sripadaru and His Holiness Sushreendra Theertha Sripadaru of Puttige Mutt. People from all sections of society will be present at the event. This cultural program is dedicated to Dr. V.S. Acharya.
More than 500 student artists of Alva’s Education Foundation will perform Indian art forms like Yoga Deepika, Sashtiya Nritya-Ashtalakshmi, Badaguthittu Yakshagana Shankaradha Sharirini, Dandiya Dance of Gujarat, Manipuri Stick Dance, Mallakamba and Karshattu, Creative Dance, Dollu Kunita, Kathak Varshadhara, Purulia Lion Dance, Tenkutittu Yakshagana Hiranyaksha Vadhe, Bombe Entertainment.
At the beginning of the programme, Singari Mela fusion will be performed by Alva’s students. There will be an exciting fireworks show. More than 15000 seats are available for spectators. The cultural programme will start on time.

During the press meet, Virasat Udupi unit honorary president V.S. G. Shetty, Udupi unit secretary Bhuvan Prasad, event organizers Nidheesh Tholar, Ambareesh, Alva’s Journalism department head Prasad Shetty, businessman and executive member of the unit Suprasad Shetty were present.
