Udupi, Dec 5: Deputy Commissioner Swaroopa T K instructed the officials to ensure that people in rural areas and the last person in the society get the benefit of the schemes, besides displaying information about the government schemes and programmes during the Byndoor festival.

She was speaking after presiding over the pre-celebration meeting of Byndoor Utsav held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office at Rajathadri in Manipal today.
The Byndoor Festival event will be held in Byndoor from January 24 to 26. She said that it is the responsibility of the departments to ensure that the information about the pro-people programs of the central and state governments is properly displayed and made accessible to the general public.
At the same time, Gramotsav programs are being organized in every 43 Gram Panchayats of the constituency and if information is given about the facilities implemented in the departments along with local sports, folk-art, health fair, then the government schemes can be effectively implemented in rural areas as well. He said that such programmes would be helpful in implementing the programmes of the department.
Space will be provided to the departments in accordance with the exhibition in the festival. She said that the departments should participate in large numbers and showcase the schemes of their departments in an attractive manner and reach the masses.

Byndoor MLA Gururaj Shetty Gantihole said that the Byndoor festival program is being organized with the aim of introducing tourism opportunities in Byndoor constituency, to further develop it, to attract more and more investors.
Videos of Byndoor’s scenic spots, local religious fields should be screened during the festival. Priority should be given to cleanliness. The garbage collected should be disposed of scientifically.
The festival will have events on agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, forestry, fisheries, fisheries, fisheries, animal husbandry, forestry, fisheries and fisheries.
