Catholic Sabha, Mount Rosary – Family Picnic 2025
A Day of Joy, Fellowship & Togetherness at Neelavara

The Catholic Sabha Family Picnic held on Sunday was undoubtedly one of the most memorable, joy-filled and refreshing outings our unit has experienced in recent years. Even a day later, the cheerful excitement continues as photos, video clips, and heartwarming messages keep circulating among members — a sign of how deeply the event touched everyone present.

Unity in Participation

The overwhelming participation of our members set the tone for a vibrant and successful celebration. Every smiling face, every moment shared, and every act of togetherness made this picnic truly special. It was the collective spirit of our Catholic Sabha family that transformed the day into a beautiful memory.

Flawless Organisation

The Organising Team deserves rich applause and appreciation for their dedication and meticulous planning.
Reuben Rebello, Elias D’Souza, Arnold Roche, Luke D’Souza, Peter Lewis, and their enthusiastic companions worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every detail was taken care of — from logistics to entertainment. Their teamwork and commitment were evident in every moment of the day.

Supporting them were our office bearers — Margaret D’Souza, Maria Wilma Rego, Pramila D’Souza, and several others — who lent their wholehearted support both at the venue and during all preparations. Their cooperation strongly contributed to the smooth success of the event.

A special mention goes to Tolbert D’Souza, the cheerful birthday celebrant of the day, along with Luke D’Souza, Dancy Machado, Elias D’Souza, and many generous members who came forward with contributions that added joy and warmth to the picnic.

Smooth Travel & Safe Transport

Many kind-hearted members brought their personal vehicles to transport fellow parishioners to Neelavara. Their willingness ensured everyone reached safely and comfortably, adding another layer of unity and care to the outing.

Blessings from Our Priests

We were privileged by the gracious presence of Rev Dr Roque D’Souza, Parish Priest, and Rev Fr Rohan Mascarenhas, Assistant Parish Priest, who joined us despite their busy pastoral schedules. Their encouraging words, joyful participation, and blessings enriched the spirit of the picnic and strengthened our bond as one parish family.

Hospitality at Its Best

The scenic Neelavara Immanuel Recreation Resort, owned by Arun D’Souza, offered the perfect setting for a day of relaxation and fun. Arun and his dedicated team extended warm hospitality through:

Clean and refreshing surroundings
Delicious meals and snacks
Excellent arrangements throughout the day

Their homely care was appreciated by every participant.

A Feast of Flavours & Fun

Our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the Chicken and Pork barbecue, the Delight Catering Team led by Arun D’Souza, and Leonard Lobo for his special financial support.
Music, jokes, dance, singing and spontaneous entertainment kept the atmosphere lively throughout the nine hours — from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm — making the day vibrant and enjoyable for all ages, especially the children.

A Day to Remember

From fellowship to food, from laughter to leisure, from prayerful blessings to unforgettable fun — the picnic showcased the strength, unity and joy of the Catholic Sabha Mount Rosary Family.

It was more than just an outing; it was a celebration of community.
