Print Udupi : Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Sripada of Pejawar Math inaugurated the month-long Geetotsava programme organised by the Paryaya Sri Puttige Math at Sri Krishna Math in Udupi from November 7 to December 8.
On this occasion, Kanakadasa Jayanti was celebrated and a grand procession was taken out with a huge Gita book and a portrait of Kanakadasa on a golden chariot
Later, Pejawar seer inaugurated the festival by placing a huge Gita book on the chariot. Pejawar seer was honoured with Sri Ramaseva Durandhara Award by Paryaya Sri Puttige Math. Later, Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Puttige Math and Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math blessed the occasion.
Executive Chairman of Manipal Media Network Ltd. Satish Pai, Dr. Sandhya Pai, Dr. Sadashiva Shetty Kanyana, Suprasad Shetty, Prof. Francis Clooney, Prof. Secretary of the Math, Prasanna Acharya and others were present.
